Last weekend, the ÖBSV Austrian Archery Federation, under the direction of national coach Christian Linhart, invited people to a training weekend.
Michael Meier joined the well-known shooters such as Sophie Brantl, Jennifer Hill, Friedrich Ziegler, Peter Heimhofer, Albert Weissegger, Burkhard Engensteiner and Martin Wegerer as a new athlete.
Michael only started archery mid-year but is already one of the promising young athletes in para archery in Austria. His scores were promising, and Christian Linhart was able to quickly improve his technique with him. The other archers also showed significant improvement over the weekend.
The main focus was on technique and shooting sequences. Stefan Pöll joined the team on Saturday to provide support. As a former squad shooter and physiotherapist, he closely examined the athletes' current physical condition and demonstrated valuable exercises.
The archers are always happy when they can gather for training camp in Obertraun. Everyone would like to thank the Austrian Archery Federation (Öbsv) and Friedrich Ziegler; without Friedrich, para archery in Austria would probably not be where it is!
Thanks must also go to our national coach. Christian Linhart has been coaching the shooters with complete dedication for years, consistently getting the best out of his athletes.
