Archery is a precision sport.
It's about consistently executing the exact same sequence of movements, despite varying external conditions. Because only a consistent shot guarantees a consistent hit pattern.
To make the complex sequence of movements easier to learn and to better understand the individual elements, the archery shot is divided into 10 different phases (of course, there are other divisions, but I am referring to the standard teaching shot of World Archery - WA for short).
