And so it came to pass that people met for the night tournament beneath the Falkenstein Castle ruins, completely hidden by the Halloween fog, in the far north of Lower Austria. Many familiar faces and a few new ones gathered for the annual night shooting.
Registration and group assignments were very relaxed, and the march began at dusk. It quickly became pitch black (the fog did the rest), and the first torches joined the Christmas lights strung across the entire course.
Overall, the results ranged from "WOW" to "WHAT." It was truly challenging at times. But... everyone was satisfied and had a truly interesting evening.
Afterwards, drinking horns and goulash plates were filled and, as is tradition at such an event, people chatted until the campfire and cooking fire had burned down.
The tenor of all participants: We'll be back - see you next year.
