Early morning in the mountains above Götzis. The first hurdle has been overcome – a partially single-lane road up to the course. Oncoming traffic and evasive maneuvers included. There's even a video of it on the club's website. But it's also possible without – a bus goes right to the registration desk. Or... you can carpool, as there are very few parking spaces up there.
The very first shots show us that this is a truly exceptional course. Aside from the "area," it's the targets, the route, and how these factors combine.
Wide open shots (here in Vorarlberg WA doesn't seem to exist ;) ), a challenging path (yes, yes, flatland Indians) and on top of that this backdrop - simply wonderful.
It's possible that some animals might actually move around here. The rule here is: DO NOT shoot!
All in all, a very nice course. Only the last few targets could have been marked a little better, as two local archery colleagues also noted.
