Hooray, the EAT archery course in Edelsdorf is open again! So I grabbed my colleague, my bow and arrows, hopped in the car, and off we went!
Motorway exit Kindbergdörfl towards Stanz and after about 2km turn right up to Eckbauer (Sat Nav finds the 
) Beautifully redesigned courtyard with plenty of parking options. New tables and benches in front of the clubhouse invite you to relax after a round. Homemade juices and other treats are also available.
Please don't forget to register by phone before heading out! Contact details can be found at www.eat-bogensport.at. The shooting range has been redesigned and renovated with new target boards and 3D targets. Rental equipment is available on-site, including training for anyone who wants to try out this wonderful hobby. After successfully avoiding the 3D targets at the shooting range, I headed off to the course with 30 beautifully staged scenes and lovingly placed surprises. The stake distances are well-chosen.
From “How am I supposed to get this far…” to “Oh, I’ll just stick it in…” everything is there 
But there's a suitable distance for everyone! From red (compound and sight shooters) to blue (advanced) and red-white-red (WA) to yellow (beginners and youth), there's everything. The trails are clearly marked with blue arrows, and you have three shortcut options if the loop is too long for you. After target 17, you'll find benches and a table in the shade of the forest, inviting you to have a snack or catch your breath. Unfortunately, there is no refreshment station.
It's wonderfully cool there in the summer! I highly recommend it. At the end of the round, my companion and I were rewarded with a glass of Bogenwasser (elderberry syrup or currant juice), and in conclusion, all I can say is: "Check out the EAT! A truly amazing and beautiful course!" Walking time is about 2-3 hours for two, at a relaxed pace.
