Early morning at just over 1,000 meters above sea level. The village of Brand, at least the side with the archery course, is still in the shade. Very pleasant… as another day with temperatures well over 30° Celsius is forecast.
After some back and forth questions, we are allowed to park in the parking lot of the adjacent hotel.
The shooting range is modest, but that doesn't matter... off to the course.
The first few destinations hardly resemble an alpine course – but that should change after a few meters of elevation and “finding the way”.
"Above the road," the 3D course becomes truly impressive. Very cool distances, relatively easy paths, and beautiful shots.
We especially liked the shot across the streambed… among other things, of course. ;)
The course ends a few hundred meters before the parking lot and offers a few more "tidbits" to look at. A golf course... and I swear, we didn't laugh out loud when a few golf balls fell victim to gravity on the steeply sloping terrain. The climbing garden and the surrounding chalets are also nice.
It's a very beautiful course (yes, we love those with mountain views). If they could perhaps put up a few signposts at the beginning of the course, a visit would be perfect. A positive for 3D courses in Vorarlberg... the course starts almost directly at the parking lot... rare here.
