We've already had contact. Thomas (the new operator) happened to update his entry on bogensportinfo.com last week, and the correspondence was very pleasant. So we were delighted, as he had been on our "Bogensportinfo Summer Tour 2022" list for some time.
Very friendly welcome and the obligatory chat before the round.
The round was, of course, dedicated to our birthday girl, Petra – who also gave herself a present and really blew me away. ;)
Although located in the beautiful Vorarlberg mountains, the course is anything but strenuous. Along two idyllic streams, bridges, and beautiful forest paths, the 3D course stretches through parts of Klösterle. The shots range in difficulty from "OK" to "Wow," and some are truly challenging. IFAA reigns supreme here in the West.
After the round, Thomas told us what he's planning. There's a lot in store for the archers. OASE also hosts many corporate events. The grounds are a real treat. Today, for example, 40 children are arriving for an "adventure camp" – of course, they'll also learn (among other things) how to use a bow.
Conclusion
Even though Thomas will still make a lot of changes, the course is already very nice. And... it has probably the nicest toilet on the Vorarlberg 3D course.
