To try a "new" course, one we (criminally) hadn't seen before. That was the goal, and it led us to Wöllersdorf, to HSV Wr. Neustadt .
We've heard a lot of good things about this 3D course. Why haven't we been there yet? It just hasn't happened yet. That was a mistake.
A little over an hour's drive (yes, you can combine it with some of the surrounding courses), and you're at the firing range. It's beautiful, in the middle of the forest, and very varied. They even set up a "kids' corner" where the little ones can get some peace and quiet from us adults(?).
The infrastructure is fine – from the toilets to the seating – simply well done.
The course surprises with 30 very diverse targets and a wide variety of shooting positions. It's a joy to take a lap here.
Some might be intimidated by the granite backstops—but don't be, you just have to hit them. Joking aside, the course is definitely not a dare-or-die course.
The distances between the targets are finely tuned. Even though there's plenty of space, you don't spend unnecessary days hiking. Despite the frequent ups and downs, the course is relatively easy to walk.
Last but not least… We’ll be back!
