High above the roofs of Klosterneuburg (yes, there are viewing points) is the 3D-Bogen Sportpark on the Kahlenberg.
A large parking lot awaits visitors directly in front of the site. A ropes course, a restaurant, and mountain bikes also await customers – during the warmer months. The archery course is open year-round for archers with their own equipment. Unfortunately, the restroom, which is located in a container anyway, is not.
One thing to note right away… you should be a good walker. The three courses are only moderately suitable for people who want to do more shooting than hiking. Even after the "round." The two "long" courses (Orange & Blue) spit out their visitors in the middle of the forest.
The shots are well placed and you can shoot appropriately from every peg.
In wet and/or snowy conditions, you should definitely bring crampons or climbing aids. Some of the trails slope downwards and can be a bit difficult to walk in these weather conditions.
Hiking uphill and downhill through the forests of the Kahlenberg is a strenuous but very beautiful experience.
A special highlight is certainly some of the animal creations you wouldn't necessarily expect. On "Blue," you'll find some African animals that populate the forest in a truly unique way.
