It had been planned for a while… this time the 3D Woodpeckers’ course in Rassach was conveniently located on the way home from a tournament.
The day before we shot together in a group at the tournament and immediately arranged a joint “inspection” with Bernd, the person in charge of the course, who was responsible for the woodpeckers.
A little warm-up, and off we went. The forest… very beautiful. The company in the form of Maria & Bernd… as well.
A compact course (just over 2 km) with 30 targets and a few special shots is located in a very fine wooded area. Despite the nightly thunderstorms preceding it, it was a pleasant course to complete. Hardly any mud!
The shots are extremely varied and carefully placed. There are some ups, some downs—some long, some short. But always with the idea of offering "something special" in the back of their minds—SUCCESS!
You pass this nice refreshment stop twice for a quick rest. At just over 2km, it's not really necessary – but if the conversations and the people are good, it makes sense.
After the round, you observe a few small snakes in the pond (always nice to see), chat a bit, have another drink, and head home. Not (!!!) without having made plans for another course visit in the area. And that one will happen!!!
