We've heard a lot about the beautiful 3D course. For us, it's a bit out of the way, meaning a 2.5-hour drive via federal highways or through Linz... neither of which is particularly exciting. It's all the better if you have a job with a client nearby. You sleep in and drive straight to Waldenfels.
Shock... Of course, I, the idiot, left my last change at the gas station - a club member kindly changed it for me... and off I went.
The forest in which the course is located is a highlight. Some people are simply "blessed" with their surroundings. The Mühlviertel and Waldviertel regions are characterized by rock formations – here, of course, incorporated directly into the course layout. This naturally provides excellent shooting positions – everything an archer's heart desires.
The refreshment stop is a real gem. Located by the stream, with an open wooden structure, it's the perfect place to rest. It's well-stocked, which is naturally a joy.
Last but not least, after completing the round... a very pleasant chat at the shooting range. Igor Hund, along with his international entourage, and of course his "master and boss," and last but not least, some club members. It was fun – you're a really cool bunch!
Conclusion
Even if the course is a bit outside of our radius, a reunion is guaranteed!
