Energy costs for non-profit organizations with entrepreneurial activities
Information from Sport Austria for our member clubs.
Dear club representatives,
Sport Austria, in cooperation with the Austrian Tennis Association, is developing a guideline on the federal government's energy cost subsidy for businesses, prepared by the tax consultancy firm "TPA." Non-profit organizations with entrepreneurial activities will also be eligible to apply for this "funding program." Whether a non-profit organization is considered to be engaged in entrepreneurial activity must be assessed individually by experts (e.g., tax advisors).
Unfortunately, the guidelines on energy cost subsidies have not yet been published, and key details regarding the energy cost subsidy remain unclear. As soon as the guidelines are published, we will finalize the guidelines and send them to you.
Pre-registration for the energy cost subsidy application is possible from Monday, November 7, 2022!
Pre-registration for companies, associations, and clubs is possible in the AWS funding manager from Monday, November 7, to Monday, November 21, 2022. Pre-registration must be completed by the company, association, or club itself.
They will then receive a confirmation of submission and information about the deadline for formal application submission. The first-come, first-served principle will apply, so given the limited budget, it's important to act quickly.
The following data will be required (registration in the funding manager itself is obviously not mandatory):
- Information about the applicant for funding (company name, legal form, if applicable, commercial register number or ZVR number for commercial associations/societies)
- Indication of whether the turnover of the most recently available annual financial statements exceeded EUR 700,000; if so, indication of whether the company is an energy-intensive enterprise (with explanation, without calculation)
- Contact details of the authorized representative in the applying company/association/club
- the email address relevant for the application process (two contact persons can also be provided here)
Application for grant from 22.11.2022
After pre-registration, only one application per company/association/club can be submitted. Subject to approval by the European Commission, applications will be accepted via the AWS funding manager starting November 22, 2022. The funding period is from February 1, 2022, to September 30, 2022. Funding is based on the EU Crisis Framework.
Payment will be made based on the documents submitted with the application.
