"Our" day 5 was a rest day. A visit to Ljubljana (formerly Laibach) was on the agenda. Sightseeing, delicious food, a coffee or two, and of course, a "Dragon Fire Bread" (Baumkuchen) with ice cream... after all, we've burned tons of calories over the past few days. :)
"Our" Austria celebration took place in our neighborhood. Our host "grilled" for 20 colleagues. What felt like tons of grilled food and side dishes were served at a truly fair price, including wine and soft drinks. And, of course, we celebrated Katrin's birthday "belatedly." To be on the safe side, we'll report on it now, rather than later. :)
There's an emu almost next door. It's not fun... and it's not something to shoot at either – you can imagine our surprise when the little creature suddenly appeared in a garden next to the road.
The team competitions and award ceremonies for our youngsters took place at the tournament grounds today. YES, we have a world champion!
For the young athletes, regardless of their country, this was a highlight that would be hard to top. The newcomers were celebrated to thunderous applause from the "old" athletes. We were pleased to be able to increase the performance bonus for "Archery Young Stars" to €340. Thanks to our sponsor FJOB – they doubled the amount without further ado! Another incentive for our young athletes.
