Interesting facts

Special new compound bows have, in addition to the two-loop “shooting” bowstring, two additional “working” strings, which can have three loops when designed as a Y-string.

Two at the end with which they are attached to the limbs (to avoid one-sided pulling force and thus twisting of the limbs), the third loop is connected or hooked to the cams (eccentric rollers) of the compound bow.

Older compound bows also have steel cables with special anchors (hooks) into which the bowstring is hooked.
