Constantly striving to acquire a layer of security, we consider our archery perfection to be the only true goal to achieve. Like a suit of armor designed to protect us from the unknown. We think that security will bring us perfection, and perfection, in turn, will bring us more security.
And so it closes again, the circle closes, and we begin to turn. And yet, we need security within ourselves, but what should define the term security? A familiar, learned area that should protect us from uncertainty? Or perhaps a feeling of certainty coupled with an unshakable attitude within ourselves? Rather, it should be an attitude that we carry within us in times of uncertainty. Not in isolation from new experiences, but in connection with the new circumstances.
And there is also this urge within us that wants to be heard. That wants more. But not out of a kind of greed, but out of a deep, primal urge for self-discovery and self-definition. To be able and allowed to experience ourselves anew again and again is ultimately part of the meaning of our lives, and so one thing should mesh with the other like the gears of a clock. Complementing one another in order to see and experience the whole. In order to express all aspects of being. Why else is it possible for us to imagine something beyond our own limitations? Why the longing for the experience we have not yet had? Just to build a greater protective shell against the unknown? Or is it so much more than that? Thoughts are free, or should be as free as possible, and only then can experience follow, and not the other way around.
Like with a shot, it is first the anchor and the release that allows the arrow to reach its target.
