Course visit - Mühlviertel Archery Club

Course visit - Mühlviertel Archery Club - Bogensportinfo
Manfred Hanus

On our last visit, a "closed due to coronavirus" sign was emblazoned on the door to the cozy clubhouse. Today we were able to admire it over coffee. Along with a photo album about the renovations starting in 2007, it's incredible what a few club members have accomplished. Very nice and cozy – like our welcome today from Karl.

The coffee wasn't even finished when the door opened, and Gerald, a longtime archery colleague and former course director, entered the room. A big hello—long time no see... "We're going to walk the course together."

The course – just like on the first visit – is perfectly set up. The loop is relatively short, but there are still 28 targets. Nevertheless, the terrain can sometimes leave you gasping for breath... you go around a hill, albeit a slightly higher one.

My results... well, mixed, like the last few weeks (crappy Mediterranean grip - it's not working for me). Petra & Gerald's shots... fine.

A warm farewell and back to the hotel – we still have two days left, which we will enjoy just as much as the last few days in the Mühlviertel.

Petra & Manfred
