The newly revised "Red-White-Red Arrow" course and course qualification is complete and activated.
The most important questions regarding the new Austrian archery training program can be found in this news article and in the section on archery training .
With the " Safety First Training," the " Red-White-Red Arrow," and the tournament-ready training program scheduled for 2022, the Austrian Archery Federation (ÖBSV) is responding to the nationwide call from archers and clubs for a uniform basic training program leading up to licensing. This concept ensures healthy, enjoyable, and, above all, safe interaction in all areas of archery in Austria.
The training for "Safety First" and the "Red-White-Red Arrow" in this revised 2021 version will in future be conducted by certified ÖBSV instructors with special training in the content of the Safety First training and the Red-White-Red Arrow, as well as instructors, training supervisors, and trainers.
For those instructors who completed their training before 2020, there is the opportunity to supplement their knowledge with additional content related to the red-white-red arrow as part of the multiplier training courses offered starting this spring/summer in order to obtain certification. This training also counts as continuing education within the meaning of the ÖBSV continuing education regulations.
For those coaches who have completed training as instructors, instructor supervisors, or trainers, the content included in the RWR is already part of their training, and the RWR certification will be credited. If you would like an update on the RWR topics and how to conduct the exam, etc., you are of course also welcome to attend the multiplier training courses.
I am looking forward to taking a further step in the training of Austrian archers together with you, which may even be groundbreaking not only for Austria.
Why the RWR arrow?
- Desire for a common training path for all shooters from all areas
- Mainly in the 3D area
- Many "autodidacts" without training for off-road disciplines
- Security concerns of clubs with a 3D focus
- Exponentially increasing number of archers in recent years
- Broadening the horizon, even for "target shooters"
