Description Archery course

The Rainbow Archery Course (formerly Drachengrube Course) is a 3D archery range in Weingarten, towards Lauratal. The course has existed since 2016 and was taken over by Rainbow Archery in 2026, where it was redesigned and expanded.

It is a challenging woodland course with 24 stations and currently 42 targets.

Long pants and sturdy shoes are strongly recommended.

The course can be used independently with your own equipment during opening hours.

These are: Winter (October-March): 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Summer (April-September): 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM

However, access is limited to at least one hour after sunrise and no later than one hour before sunset.

The Google Maps entry leads to the parking lot; the course entrance is located above the auto body shop. Simply follow the path past the colorful cube.

We also offer 10-visit passes, courses for all levels, and corporate events.

    Overall impression

    Exceptional experience!

Spending a day learning archery from
Alex with Rainbow Archery was simply wonderful for so many reasons. I did a day course for beginners of traditional archery with Rainbow Archery at the Rainbow Archery Parcours. As a visitor from the United States (Virginia), the experience that Rainbow Archery Parcours and Alex offers is highly unique and tons of fun. Not only are the facilities and trails very well cared for, but the quality of instruction is top-notch. As a native English speaker, I would not have known that Alex’s mother tongue is not English. He is exceptionally talented with how he teaches- he provides a fun and relaxed atmosphere while clearly communicating the technique to the student. His expertise combined with his teaching style leads to success and a feeling of accomplishment. Although Alex is clearly an expert on the subject matter, he gauges exactly how much information he needs to share in order to inform but not overwhelm. Aside from learning a bit about the history of this sport, Alex conveyed information about safety, etiquette and of course, technique. With this combination, and his exceptional teaching abilities, I was able to successfully hit many of the targets. And when I couldn’t, Alex was always encouraging and supportive, using the failure as an opportunity to learn and improve. He has such an eye for the technique that he was always immediately able to give me one small pointer for something to change in order to improve the shot. Overall, I cannot recommend this experience enough. Regardless of whether you are a local or have travelled half way around the world, this place is a “must-do”. Many thanks to Alex and Rainbow Archery for helping to introduce me to a new interest.
